Following an international summer conference in 2017, numerous interdisciplinary projects have been implemented across various universities and countries, with others to unfold in the upcoming months. At the conference from May 23rdto 25th, 2018, new findings resulting from research in this field were presented, consolidated, and critically discussed. This included new theoretical contributions as well as empirical results of ongoing preliminary studies and analyses. Numerous world-renowned national and international experts from the different relevant disciplines and fields of research participated and not only presented and discussed their current findings but also gained new insights and created synergies. In the context of the conference, interdisciplinary research projects from areas such as linguistics, mathematics, neuroscience, education, psychology, and more were presented and critically discussed by excellent international researchers.
